Several
years ago, I set out on a journey. This journey has led me to the world
of transportation. I was born in 1976 with a rare birth defect called
Arthrogryposis. Arthrogryposis translated from the Greek literally means
"curved or hooked joints”. Arthrogryposis may affect my muscles and
joints but it does not affect my intelligence and desire for a fulfilling
life. As a child, I was never one to feel sorry for myself. Naturally, I
had my bad days, but who doesn’t? I learned from a young age that my
goals and dreams wouldn’t just happen over night. Goals take time and
effort to be reached. Because of my hard work, I can truly appreciate each
of my successes.
One
of my first jobs after high school was for a local answering service.
From this job, I learned how much I enjoyed helping people. Although I
enjoyed assisting our customers, I still needed the ability to support
myself and to follow my dreams for financial independence. After six
years of working for the answering service, I set out to find a career
that I could use to help people while supporting myself without Government
assistance. After looking into a few different careers, I found myself in
the world of transportation (or maybe it just found me). For myself, there
is no better job. My job allows me to meet and have close relationships
with people all over the United States, and I still have the ability to
help them with their day to day transportation needs.
I
am in no way asking for people to feel sorry for me. I am simply
asking them to understand that I am different from most people you will
ever meet, especially in the transportation industry. Anyone can call you
up and make you promises of service. They can offer you a great
service, on-time deliveries, and the best rates. All I ask is that you let me show you, through my
actions and my willingness to keep moving forward that I can handle your
transportation needs.
I
would like to personally thank you for taking the time to read about my
life. I am very passionate about my job, and I encourage you to contact
me with any questions that you may have about your shipping needs.
Sincerely;
Jason
